Communal garden

Stories

March 2018 marked the beginning of a beautiful community garden project in the very heart of Kara Tepe CampUs. The results are incredible and surprise even the young Australian permaculturalist responsible for the programs design and implementation.

A stunning natural sanctuary of edible plants, complete with birds, bees and butterflies. The smell of fresh basil and rosemary sifts through the warm summer breeze while giant pumpkins, melons, beans, zucchinis, and eggplants are harvested daily under a sea of sunflowers.

Now completely run by residents, this therapeutic and educational space provides the perfect setting for participants to learn the art of gardening without the use of synthetic chemicals or fertilizers. We are very proud of this project and excited for its future!
